Celebration of Insanity

There is a saying often attributed to Albert Einstein, Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin, not getting into who really said this,
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”
Every year, there comes a time in one’s life, when he or she celebrates his or her birthday. Moving forward, without getting into why they do this every year when it is obvious that they have lost a year of their life but who cares! So, what happens, we all know pretty well, people throw a party etc. but the most important thing they do, if they are ‘sane’, which mostly are, is to be more mature than before.
Yeah, that does not happen usually but people do wish that, as they get older, they should behave like elders and follow the norms of the society. And that they will not be given a benefit of the ‘age’ now for doing anything wrong. Yes, it motivates people sometimes and they do things accordingly as they planned but only for some time and after that small era of ‘sheer determination’ passes, most of the people return to their old habits and start doing the same things for which they were notorious for, forgetting what they wished to do.
So, what would that behavior be called? Yes, Insanity! What people lack is inspiration because motivation is timely while inspiration lasts forever! Not saying that people should stop celebrating their birthdays just trying to convey my idea of celebration of insanity that, people celebrate insanity every year in the form of their birthdays. They make new rules to follow, try to be more deterministic, more passionate and most importantly behave like an elderly, more sophisticated person but nothing happens each year.
